Also known as St. Magdalene, this lost Lowland distillery was constructed in the mid-18th century by Sebastian Henderson, operated for over 200 years, and ultimately closed during the great cull of 1983. It was transferred to A & J Dawson in 1798 and later acquired by DCL in 1912. The distillery was re-equipped in 1927 and maintained its own floor maltings until 1968, after which it sourced malt from Glenesk.
